Rental Technician

Job DescriptionThe Rental Technician provides guest services related to the proper selection, fitting, renting and selling of a variety of winter sports equipment and accessories. Assists in numerous functions related to maintaining efficient and high-quality shop operations. Essential Job FunctionsGreet guests and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with guest needsProvide fast, accurate and appropriate selection and fitting of a variety of winter sports equipmentAct independently to assure efficient, clean and organized shop/facilities operations at all timesMaintain a broad knowledge base adequate enough to answer all guest equipment-related queries as well as a variety of resort-wide informationAcquire and retain detailed Rental and Retail product knowledge to best serve guests and to help achieve departmental sales goalsUtilize great attention to detail in the completion of all tasks and in supporting daily shop operationsRun Skis and Snowboards over waxing equipment when requiredComply with required risk management and indemnification proceduresOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious rental shop experience preferred Previous customer service experience preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Written and speaking fluency in English requiredBi-lingual language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French or others) preferredMust pass ski manufacturers'' binding certification (on-the-job training provided)Additional InformationSupervision Given and Received Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of the Rental Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions.
