Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Experiential Marketing, the Marketing Sponsorship Manager leads the execution of partnerships, programs and events facilitated by the department. This includes paid sponsorships and unpaid community activations that may take place onsite and offsite. The Marketing Sponsorship Manager also provides leadership on cross-departmental projects. The Marketing Sponsorship Manager manages the daily activities of all sponsorship aspects ensuring that all contracted sponsorship assets are logged and tracked, up to date, and 100% utilized, including but not limited to: hospitality assets, all advertising channels, program advertising, digital assets including website advertising, social media and email campaigns, direct mail assets, in-venue signage (printed & digital). The Marketing Sponsorship Manager works across several departments to ensure all contracted assets are fully utilized.Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Manages all sponsorship activities, prospecting, relationships, proposal customization and presentation, negotiation, contract revision and servicing, and sponsor follow-up and support, event development and representing the company at industry functions, on and offsite events.2. Manages and tracks the day-to-day activation of all paid sponsorship assets through KORE Konnect software including:Assigning, monitoring and tracking tasks to appropriate departments on all requested deliverables to ensure timely executionAssigning pertinent details for on and off-site sponsored events (ex. community events, in-venue activations, etc.)Storing supporting documents and files for quick referenceCreating reports from system data on asset usage3. Manages fulfillment and approval process of all contracted sponsorship elements including press releases, PA scripts, publications, logo usage, partnership marketing events and materials.4. Works closely with partners and internal departments to create first-class experiential opportunities for guests.5. Creates community service opportunities with sponsor foundations that are in line with the strategic goals of San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.6. Gathers and reviews post-event information and evaluations, prepares and delivers reports and makes recommendations to management for future planning purposes.7. Researches industry best practices and leads implementation efforts to assure continuous improvement of sponsorship services.8. Works closely with Compliance to formulate departmental policies and procedures.9. Serves as a liaison between the department, vendors and suppliers.10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization''s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education/Experience/QualificationsBachelor''s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Sports Marketing or related field is required.Minimum five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Sports Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, or Corporate Communications is required.Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.Must have good knowledge of event coordination.Must have the ability to take direction and meet tight deadlines.Must have excellent attention to detail.Must have a flexible schedule to include availability on days, nights, weekends and some holidays.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.Certificates/Licenses/RegistrationsAt the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company''s insurance carrier.San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and San Manuel Casino will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.As one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire, San Manuel deeply cares about the future, growth and well-being of its employees.
