In addition, we are situated between two Big 12 schools, and a short drive away from the Kansas City professional teams. WIBW-TV was the first television station in NE Kansas and continues to produce the best in news, weather, and sports reporting today. Job Summary/Description: Recruiting Investigative reporter who is an organized researcher and knows where to look for evidence of wrongdoing that has a significant impact on citizens of Kansas. Ideal candidate can multi-task and develop several stories while focusing on one. The IR cannot let deadlines determine whether the story is ready for air and now when the evidence doesn''t warrant a story. Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to): - Looking for investigator who knows document researching.- Requires organized person who can track multiple investigations simultaneously.- Must work with minimal direction while keeping supervisors apprised of progress on stories.- Requires patience until there is enough credible evidence to warrant publishing. Qualifications/Requirements: - College Degree preferred.- Must submit a link with examples of hard news stories that required investigation.- Investigative Producers encouraged to apply.
