By focusing R&D efforts on four therapeutic areas and other targeted investments, we push the boundaries of what is possible in order to bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.Join Takeda as Head of Delivery, Delivery & Operations within Statistical and Quantitative Sciences (SQS) where we are driving the exquisite and reliable delivery of Takeda''s pipeline via forward thinking strategies that manage portfolio risks supported by innovative technical platforms, optimized processes and operational metrics. You will work closely with the Head of Delivery & Operations, the Operations and Technology team as well as cross-functionally within DSI and R&D. You will also develop and execute portfolio strategy and innovation in the areas of resourcing, strategic process planning and alignment, and innovative processes. For Quality and Risk Management within SQS, the Head of Delivery will manage the portfolio delivery review (PDR) meeting, portfolio risk identification, analysis, evaluation and mitigation as well as manage the tracking of CAPAs, championing audits & inspections, building crisis management capabilities and communicating lessons learned across the organization. You will lead, understand, and adapt to new opportunities, unforeseen challenges, and transformative approaches to how Delivery and Operations can be made more predictable and consistent for broader audiences while providing clear alignment with stakeholders. You will also drive strategic planning and process improvements across the Delivery & Operations team to increase impact and focus through clear communications, information flow between stakeholders, and management of vendors. As part of the Delivery and Operations team, you will report to the Head of Delivery and Operations within SQS.How you will contribute:Lead the Delivery team within Delivery and Operations with regard to planning, execution, strategy, quality and vendor management within SQS.Serve as a thought partner to the Head of Delivery and Operations through proposing and championing improvements to delivery, quality, vendor processes and strategies internally within SQS and across DSI and R&D stakeholders.Maintain an engagement level view of vendor performance in relation to quality and timeliness of deliverables.Monitor the quality and timeliness of activities, ensure awareness and alignment of business processes within SQS, as well as across DSI and R&D.Work across R&D and supporting business functions to create transparency and consistency of SQS-related processes and strategies.Contribute to creating and communicating culture and values which attract, retain, and develop the most effective people.Ensure compliance with all applicable Takeda SOPs, local and international regulations, and industry best-practice.Guide project teams internally and across organization boundaries.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:PhD (or equivalent) with approximately 8 years experience or MS with approximately 10 years experience in statistics, programming or quantitative field.
