Underground ForemanThe Underground Foreman is responsible for both supervisory tasks as well as the physical construction/upgrade of Telecommunications/Cable systems in an outside plant environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide on the job training for direct employeesEnsure project requirements are met before starting the jobOperate underground cable plows, mini excavator and pneumatic air tools (underground missiles)Ensure site is set up correctly and in compliance with safety regulations and guidelinesDig holes/trenchesSpot digging existing utilitiesFeed cable off large reelsRodding existing underground conduitsEnsure the workspace is clear of debrisFlagging traffic as neededSkills & Qualifications3+ years of experience in outside plant telecommunications requiredStrong knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safelyStrong knowledge of CATV building practices requiredStrong knowledge of CTV field equipmentOSHA 10 training requiredFlagging certification requiredValid CPR certification requiredAbility to read and understand CTV cable printsAbility to work on call including evenings and weekends as neededAbility to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environmentAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsDemonstrated leadership skillsValid driver''s license requiredEducationHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
