DIrect Support Professional

Knowledge of Individual Habilitation Plans, constant supervision and observation of individuals, assist in maintaining cleanliness of the residence, and serve as a role model and advocate. Mandatory overtime is required, driving is mandatory, and a valid, non-restricted driver license is required for this position. Direct Support Professionals must be awake during the entire shift. Sleeping on the job is prohibited. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to): Supervise individuals at all times and provides for their safety and assist with Adult Daily Living Skills (i.e. bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, washing hair, cut nails, shaving, full support in toileting , etc.) Assist in the development of Individual Habilitation Plan and complete daily documentation Assist with meal planning, preparation and clean up Assist in providing a clean, safe and homelike environment in the residence (i.e. sweep, mop, dust, laundry, etc.) Driving to and caring for individuals at recreational or community outings, activities and medical appointments. Use crisis intervention and calming techniques as needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and a valid, non-restricted driver''s license required (unless overnight shift). Related work or caregiving experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (but not limited to) Must be awake during the entire shift. Must be able to travel stairs routinely to the 2nd floor bedrooms
