Highway Project Manager

VHBs growing MA group is seeking a Highway Project Manager to join our Transportation team. Location is flexible for the right this position, you would be responsible for the management of transportation engineering projects covering roadways, bikeways, and utility design. Duties include overseeing traffic engineering, stormwater management, drainage, temporary traffic control, traffic signals, construction observation, cost estimating and construction administration. Were growing, and we hope youll join us!About the PositionHighway Project Manager | MA | Hybrid/FlexibleResponsibilities:Managing large multi-disciplinary highway reconstruction projects, both traditional bid-build and alternate delivery (Design-Build, PPP, etc.)Working with Contractors for the delivery of Design-Build projects.Training / mentoring junior staff in various aspects of highway design.Assisting with the production and delivering transportation projects through the construction administration phasePre-design project planning and financial managementDesign of highways and roads including the development of geometric layout, grading, and drainage, working with utilities, and environmental permittingDevelopment of technical design and specification documentsQualifications:BS in Civil Engineering required. MS in Civil Engineering or another related field is a plusMinimum of 10 years of roadway experience, with at least 5+ years of experience managing highway design projects.Current PE in Massachusetts or licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Massachusetts PE license within six months.Experience with DOT/MassDOT-funded municipal roadway improvement projects a strong plusExperience with Design-Build a plusMust have valid drivers license, as the position requires occasional travel to client meetings and project sitesVHB is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
