Do it here.What you''ll be doing...We have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Operations Engineer supporting strategic commercial and federal clients across the region who are using our various Identity & Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions. This is an opportunity to work with the Verizon Managed Security Services (MSS) team that is operating on the cutting-edge of information security. You would work as a part of a larger, global, 24-hour team. You''ll be involved in day-to-day management of applications, responding to service requests and incidents, and responsible for general application maintenance and participating in delivery of the applications services.* Service operations support and lifecycle management and delivery activities for applications services.* Work with peers and customers in incident management, problem management, and change management.* Provide lifecycle management for our secure identity services environments and identity services, utilizing experience and knowledge of operating systems and applications services.* Interact with internal and external personnel including clients, Sales, Product Management, Project Managers, Product Engineering, Compliance and other cross-functional teams.* Support the entire managed service lifecycle including hands on involvement with Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, and Change Management.* Interact with Compliance personnel to maintain managed service solutions, processes and documentation in a rapidly evolving compliance climate.* Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of key applications (e.g., PKI, Linux, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle, LDAP, and Java).* Support security roles and functions as necessary for multi-person access rules.Where you''ll be working:In this hybrid role, you''ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.What we''re looking for...You''ll need to have:* Bachelor''s degree or four more years of work experience.* Four or more years of relevant work experience.* The ability to qualify for a government clearance at the Public Trust level.Even better if you have one or more of the following:* A degree.* Four or more years of experience with cloud application management.* Four or more years of experience with Linux.* Experience with webserver and application servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, ColdFusion).* Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.* Knowledge of Active Directory configuration.* Experience with LDAP service management.* Knowledge of SQL scripting.* Experience of Hardware Security Module (HSM PKCS11) technology (primarily nCipher).* Scripting experience (e.g., UNIX shell scripting, Perl, PHP).* Knowledge of OS and application hardening.* Knowledge of RestAPIs and web development languages.* Knowledge of Nagios and related monitoring solutions.* Knowledge of Virtualization technologies / Cloud services.* Conceptual and analytical skills.* ITILv3 Certification.* Active Security Certifications such as CISA, SANS and/or CISSP certification(s).* Experience with all aspects of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) related products, technologies and standards.* Capability to work independently and reporting to upper management.* Ability to communicate effectively in writing with all levels of clientele.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with emphasis on knowledge sharing.22CyberAPPEqual Employment OpportunityWe''re proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees'' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
