We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.We seek a Senior Engineer to serve in the capacity of Mission Control System (MCS) Lead Systems Integrator for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (Triton UAS) Program in support of the PMA-262 Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft System Program Office. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for all MCS integration activities, managing a large team of avionics engineers, software engineers, systems engineers and experienced operators. The Lead Systems Integrator is responsible for conducting development, production, systems engineering, system integration, and technical management activities of designated programs.Duties: Perform the Lead System Integrator (LSI) role for the MCS Mission Execution segment, a GFX subsystem supporting all ground related mission payload capabilities within the Triton UAS. Direct development, integration, test, and installation activities at Government Labs while providing coordination and oversight of contractor development activities.Perform the Triton UAS MCS integration engineering functions as a technical liaison between the platform PMAs and the prime contractor to ensure that the platform requirements are being met without sacrificing commonality principlesAssignment covers all acquisition management and systems engineering functions required for procurement, development, integration, test, production, and installation of assigned equipmentRepresents NAVAIR and PMA-262 interests in the Triton UAS programDefine the system architecture, the concept for commonality, and the plan to meet future growth requirements within the context and constraints of the acquisition processEnsure that the prime contractor properly flows down requirements to their suppliers and subcontractors and that all parties function smoothly as an IPTProvide a system with the proper balance between platform performance and schedule requirements, available technology at acceptable risk, and program budgets.Support PMA 262 and MCS Program Managers in the area of UAS Mission Control Systems development and integration, with particular emphasis on systems requiring high performance in limited space and in harsh environments while working with platform representatives, fleet users, prime contractors and suppliers to define the overall requirements of the system and to identify the trade space between performance and implementationSupport an Integrated Product Team (IPT) of in-house and contractor support technical experts, prime contractors and suppliers in the research, definition and development of key program elements needed to meet platform requirements.Address the use of commercial grade parts and obsolescence as an integral part of the systems designApply knowledge of advanced technologies in future system concepts and designsDevelop and maintain area cognizance over assigned systems, their performance specification and interface requirements documents, statement of works (SOWs), Technical directives and other technical documentationEvaluate state-of-the-art technologies for performance, function, maturity, life cycle viability, and environmental characteristics and assesses the availability of mature technology to meet system requirementsAssist the platform in scaling system requirements to fall within the capability of current technology if the requirements cannot be met with available or near-term technologyEvaluate proposed architectures for suitability to meet defined requirements as well as their flexibility to grow to meet future platform needs.Required Education: BA/BS minimum. MA/MS preferred Required Experience: MA/MS/MBA and 10 years'' experience in Leadership and Engineering Management, both supporting and leading numerous government and contractor personnel in support of program activitiesBA/BS and 14 years'' experience in Leadership and Engineering Management, both supporting and leading numerous government and contractor personnel in support of program activitiesDAWIA certification or equivalent Project Management certification (PMP)U.S. Citizenship requiredMinimum Secret clearance required OR must be eligible to apply and be granted interim DoD interim clearance prior to employment..Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
