Short Order Cook

Seeking a full time short order cook to work in our food service retail location. Applicant must have griddle experience. Applicant must be able to work at minimum Friday and Saturday evening positions 6pm-1130pm. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate business demands. Immediate Hire with background check completed. This opportunity is for an in-person position with the worksite being at: St. Thomas Aquinas College 125 NY-340, Sparkill, NY 10976 General Responsibilities: - Sets up and breaks down work stations - Ensures the highest level of sanitation throughout the workplace - Must be able to lift minimum 50 lbs. or more - Skillfully use hand tools or machines needed for your work - Work with client(s) with tact and diplomacy - Work in a team environment a must - Work at other stations as deemed necessary by management - Must know methods of food preparation, cooking times, recipes and portion sizes to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner Qualifications: - Minimum 6 months experience in the food service industry as a cook - The ability to safely operate all kitchen equipment - The ability to read and follow recipes - Excellent customer service - Foodservice Sanitation Certificate - High School Education or equivalent - More than 2 years'' experience in the food service industry Serious Inquiries Only!
