Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient completion of hotel construction and renovation projects by overseeing all phases of the project, from concept design through punch and close out. This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and proactively manage overall progress.The position includes the potential to work on several prestigious projects both to the existing portfolio and new ground up projects. A strong background in hospitality construction is preferable. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and be able to manage in house teams, external design teams, and contractors in an effective, orderly fashion. The budgeted salary range for this position starts at $165,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.Essential Job FunctionsCreating and issuing RFP''s for procuring all members of the project team including architect, consultants, engineers, general contractor, FF&E & other direct vendors.Determine and define scope of work and deliverablesDrive scope decisions in collaboration with team of internal and external stakeholders. Complete feasibility studies on cost, schedule and permitting implications of design options. Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisitesDraft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsManage costs in order to meet budgetProvide direction over contracts and subcontractsManage construction schedule and activitiesIssue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesArrange, chair and minute meetings whether video conference or in person and diligently follow up on action itemsEnsure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codesSelect and manage subcontractor and supplier relationshipsCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractorsLocate, analyze and mitigate risk exposures throughout the projectWork with FF&E and operations teams to manage the process through hotel opening. QualificationsBachelor''s Degree in Construction Management or related field.7+ years of hotel renovation and new build hotel construction experience.3+ years of hotel renovation/construction experience in mountain and resort environments is a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project and AutoCAD or similar software.Strong Knowledge in the construction management field required.Technical knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems found in the typical hotel, retail and food service fortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.Strong leadership and management skills.Additional InformationSupervision given and received Supervision given: The role includes running project team meetings and providing direction to all stakeholders through design phases and construction. Exercises direct supervision over all contractors and where applicable, direct subcontractors. Supervision received: Works under the general supervision of the VP of Construction. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor''s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins. Work Environment and physical demands Job performed indoors and outdoors on construction sites. Frequent travel to jobsites required.
