Description Senior Engineer Analyst SME/Air Warfare San Diego, CA Senior Engineer Analyst SME/ Air Warfare for Commander Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet Type Commander (TYCOM) Material Inspection Team (CNSP N44 TMIT), onboard Naval Base San Diego, San Diego, CA. The mission of TMIT is to conduct ship material inspections as well as assist the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) during their Material Inspections (MIs) using the SFTRM and INSURV procedures, standards, and guidance. Support TYCOM inspections and assessments on all Pacific Fleet ships and/or crews using SFTRM, Navy Department Organization and Regulations Manual, International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea, 1972 (72COLREGS), and U.S. Inland Navigation Rules'' procedures, standards, and guidance. Provide analysis to determine the ship''s material condition, adherence to ship programs that directly support material readiness and ship''s readiness, to execute and INSURV MI. Analyze surface combatant material trends and assess ship class material issues to support attainment of expected service life. Support efforts to address material shortcomings identified in INSURV MI Annual Reports. TMIT reports results directly to COMNAVSURFPAC N00. Schedules, coordinates, and supports all Readiness Events (READ-E 2, 5, 6, & 7) Material Inspections, and assessment events for COMNAVSURFPAC ships. Requirements: * Over 25 years of supervisory experience in analyses, combat system operations, and implementation of technical projects * Supervisory combat systems experience with Navy surface ship Combat Systems maintenance processes * Extensive experience in one or more of the following positions: Systems Test Officer (STO); Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM); Combat Systems Officer of the Watch (CSOOW) on multiple AEGIS and SSDS ships * Extensive experience in Navy Ship Combat Systems Operations on multiple ships (AEGIS and SSDS) * Maintenance/training staff experience (e.g. Immediate Superior In Charge (ISIC), Type Commander (TYCOM), or Afloat Training Group); Maintenance Staff experience * In-depth knowledge of the theory and workings of surface ship Combat Systems maintenance processes * Under-graduate or associates degree or 7 years demonstrated experience in a management role. * US Citizen with Secret Security Clearance ORBIS offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary in a professional atmosphere.
