To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page.Position Overview: The Production Associate - Photography position assists in building and maintaining the 360-degree product images by photographing product in the Digi-Key Warehouse. This position handles a variety of tasks related to supporting the taking photographs, editing and placing product images on the Digi-Key website including, but not limited to, ordering product, sorting product, and the occasional opportunity to edit and post images directly to the Digi-Key website. This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CT. Responsibilities:Must be able to...Photograph product in-house for website and marketing useAssist with maintaining all photographic equipment to determine if repair or replacement is recommendedDemonstrate proper selection and use of photographic lighting, natural light, camera lenses, photographic techniques, technology and software.Be responsible for composing, lighting, determining optimum camera angles while photographing table top setsWork with PDC staff to ensure product integrityAble to use Digi-Key''s internal systems to manage product for photographyWork with the Photo Editors to establish and maintain an efficient workflowCompile, enhance and format existing photographs and images (from manufacturers whenever possible) to make available for both high, and lower resolution mediaGuide the constant improvement of product photography quality and maintain the visual style and presentation of our brand of photographPhotograph product in-house for website and marketing useOperate and maintain photo equipmentOther duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management requestOther Typical Tasks May Also Include: Taking on additional responsibilities from the Marketing Production leadershipParticipate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminarsTake notes and help execute activities that results from Production effortsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (Minimum/Essential Qualifications):High School diploma or equivalentTypically, 0-1+ years of experience working in Marketing or in customer|supplier facing related roleExperience working in PhotoshopExpert level of experience with DSLR camera and lighting techniquesUnderstanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates inKnowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principlesMust be able to demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: Initiative, ProfessionalismGenerally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screenGenerally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your bodyPreferred Qualifications: Two Year Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experienceDigi-Key Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
