RN - PICU - Full Time/NightsSUMMARY:The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care.Responsible for coordination of the patient''s plan of care through assessment,planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead toestablished outcomes. This position practices under the direction of thedesignated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, andin accordance with Valley Children''s Hospital policies.Valley Children''s Pediatric Intensive Care Unitis comprised of a team of compassionate andhighly skilled professionals, who provide excellent family-centered andevidence-based care, promoting the well-being of its critically ill pediatricpatients. PICU is a 42-bed Critical Care unit consisting of approximately 140staff members and 13 intensivist physicians.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A) agraduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) anactive California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life SupportCertifications (see specifics below); and D) experience to correlate withClinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable. Life Support Certifications required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS)within 30 days and 2) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 monthsof hire or transfer into the position.POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 6 x 11.5 hour shifts per 2-week pay period, night shiftINTERNAL JOB CODE: ZRLOCATION: Madera, CA
