They use the interfaces we define, the tools we provide and the always on services. Using these, the developers are most effective and productive in adding delightful shopper experiences for Amazon shoppers. As a Technical Program Manager in this team, you will be responsible for delivering the frameworks and services used by the developers at Amazon. You will be a leader ensuring that the solutions we deliver meet the technical requirements of the Amazon developers using them. You will drive for the optimal balance of flexibility, ease of use and safety of toolsets that can to scale to large number of business use cases, often with competing/conflicting requirements. You will work across multiple teams and technical leaders influencing them to deliver on the program direction that you have set. Your ability to identify the appropriate metrics, goals and scoping of the programs will make the teams successful. Your keen eye for identifying the risks and mitigations, balancing the short term vs long term deliverables, raising the issues before they are blockers and leading issue resolutions will keep the programs and goals on track or even beat expectations. You will evangelize new programs and program direction to the developers (our internal customers). You will work to accelerate platform adoption, track the realized impacts, and communicate results with the senior leadership. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of technical program management experience7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teamsExperience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously.• Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives. • Experience building and operating Internet scale products, services and platforms. • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate with senior leaders across a large enterprise. • Ability to discern short term vs long term roadmaps and the conflict/impact of each.
