They are looking for the right person to join their Maintenance team!1st ShiftDirect Hire$23-$28/hr., depending upon experience Job Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general tasks such as perform maintenance and repairs to production equipment, facility and building systems, and grounds upkeep and maintenance. To ensues all are equipment, building systems and facilities are tidy and at optimum functionality. Responsibilities and Duties Perform Facility maintenance as required to ensure the building, grounds and all building systems are maintained and meet all Safety requirementRepair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as (but not limited to) motors, tooling & fixtures, pneumatics, hydraulics, welders, forklifts, and cranes Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve with minimal downtime Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damageAssist in the development of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedulesCarry out PPM schedules and planned work orders as requiredInstallation and removal of equipment and electrical service as neededFabrication of equipment or supplemental pieces as neededWork within 5S (Sort, Set-In-Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standardEnsure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used Assure Lock-Out/Tag-Out program is always followed Promote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followedKeep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends regarding maintenanceUndertake special projects as requiredContribute to Continuous Improvement activitiesWrite reports and present progress at project meetings as neededAchieve goals within budgetAttend various meetings and action/communicate instructionsOperate Forklift Truck, Overhead Cranes and lifting equipmentWork the assigned overtime to cover functions of this position as assignedAlways work safely and consider the safety of others in the workplace Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be able to follow oral and written directions. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, supervisor and management. Must be skilled in the performance of one or more trades. Possess a valid driver''s licenseEducation equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Certificate (GED). Preferred formal training and/or certification in one or more of the Vocational trades. Minimum of three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of Vocational training and experience Specific skills, knowledge and abilities Building skills - electrical, plumbing, painting, minor carpentryGroundskeeping and maintenanceMachines - mills, lathes, presses, shears, breaks, sawsTroubleshootingWelding and FabricationGood verbal and written communication skillsOSHA regulations
