Overview Illuminate seeks a technical, driven leader to join the organization as a Director of Product Development to manage geographically diverse teams as you drive solution development and execution. We are looking for a Director of Product Development who possesses a background in systems engineering, problem-solving skills, ability, and confidence to run agile sprints, deconflict schedules, and guide architectural choices. The ideal candidate exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition and design, through implementation and test. You will work with executives, software development teams, project managers, and product owners from several U.S. and International offices in Illuminate in support of defense and commercial customers globally. Illuminate supports the US national security community and its allies with a wide range of analytic and cyber effect solutions that accelerate informed decision made in the telephony, IP messaging, cyber, and multi-source arenas. Our customers require insight from the endless volume and variety of data to make critical, high integrity decisions at mission speed. We are an innovative solutions company striving to be a global leader in multi-source data collection, predictive analysis and mobile/network surveillance (4G/5G) and assurance, from the Edge of Collection to the Core of Exploitation, Tactical to Strategic, Endpoint to the Enterprise. Responsibilities * Leads architectural design and approval for existing and new products * Defines the technological strategy in conjunction with the development team of each project: pipeline, tools, and key development procedures * Establishes standards and procedures to track and measure project''s progression * Guides delivery of solutions from conceptualization, development, and implementation * Advises on priorities of technology capabilities and technology roadmap for technology investments * Supports business development with technical solutions, BOEs, cost inputs * Assesses technical risk and mitigation plan * Evaluates development teams, identifying strengths, problem areas, and developing plans for improving performance * Evaluates and identify new technologies for implementation * Evaluates and interview candidates for technical positions Qualifications * MS or PHD in computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, statistics or related technical degree, and/or equivalent professional STEM experience * Minimum 15 years'' experience in enterprise technology development, integration and consulting/advisory in support of large data driven organizations workflows (analytics, data engineering, reporting, visualization) * Minimum 5 years management or equivalent leadership responsibilities in the field of technology to support data centric production & delivery * Current active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph * Expert in developing solutions and Product, both hardware and software, architect with scaled agile methodologies * Successful implementations of Continuous Delivery Pipelines * Expert in Scaled Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps and management of sprint tasking using Jira and/or Confluence or equivalent * Extensive knowledge of Public Cloud IaaS, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, micro services * Proficient in related SW development, collaboration and testing tool suites (GitLab, Slack, Selenium, Chaos Monkey, Postman) * Applicants must be a US Person and currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
