Staff Nurse

ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP New York & New Jersey''s premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Allergy Nurse for our Brooklyn Heights office location.This position reports to the Senior Nurse and Medical Director of Allergy and Immunology. The purpose of this position is to provide full time nursing support services to the allergy physician.Responsibilities:Review schedule and direct patients to appropriate office location (shot room, testing, physician treatment room)Take patient vital signsPerform spirometriesApply first set testing and read test resultsApply second set testing and read test resultsReview treatment log and administer allergy immunotherapyOther Clinical Services:Set up allergy treatment rooms for the days servicesSet out Quin-test tray for treatment roomsPrepare serum trays, syringes, gauze and alcohol for allergy shot roomsRefill testing trays, as neededReview and implement anaphylaxis protocol, as neededRe-stock Banyan Kit, as neededMaintain post-injection resting rooms, restock patient information brochures, etc.Respond to patient telephone inquiries, as directedAdministrative/Office Tasks:Review status of supplies and communicate needs to Senior Nurse:Allergy serumsMedical supplies Quin-tests, syringes, spirometry mouthpiecesEducational allergy informationMiscellaneous suppliesRestock rooms, as needed:Sample medication closets Medical supplies Quin-tests, exam gowns, syringes, etc.Send out consultation letters to referring physiciansFile all transcription Requirements: Strong interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and handle a high volume of patientsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to meaningfully interactRN or LPN license requiredSchedule:M- 8-4 T- 7:45-5 W- 7:45-5 Th- 7:45-6:30 F- 7:45 -1 Possible future Saturday on rotation and Monday off We offer a competitive salary and superior benefits package, including medical and dental coverage.Please Note: ENT and Allergy Associates is an E-Verify employerCompany Description: ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP is the largest and most comprehensive ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice in the nation with 40 offices and over 150 physicians.
