We strive to provide Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living in all that we do.As the BILLING COLLECTIONS CLERK you will be responsible for the account receivables functions related to insurance payers such as Medicare, HMO, and Commercial policies. Performs all procedures for assigned facilities, including charge entry, claims processing, denial management. Investigates and analyzes payer remittance advice regarding denials and reimbursement discrepancies. This position requires technical knowledge and experience with Medicare FISS DDE.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Monitors, assists, and follows through on all Private Pay accounts issuing phone calls or letters as necessary.Researching information on property or estates to assist in Collection procedures.Assist in obtaining all necessary information to forward accounts to our attorney for collection.Assist with implementing a new computer system.Assist Accounts Receivable Clerks during vacations and extended leaves in the following manner:Maintain accurate resident accounts for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and private residents.Collect delinquent accounts as necessary.Research and solve payment discrepancies.Make adjustments to accounts as needed.Maintain accurate, neat, and organized files for all accounts receivable records to assure prompt retrieval.Submit appropriate statement to Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance companies, or private paying entities.QUALIFICATIONS:High School or equivalency diploma required.Associates Degree preferred.Medical billing experience and knowledge of Collections preferred.Excellent communication skills.
