Newport News, VirginiaFor over 100 years, we have made it our mission to care for others as we would care for those we love.OverviewWorks under the supervision of the Agency Nurse Managers and assumes responsibility for the smooth and effective operation of the Agency in the absence of the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing, on a 24-hour basis. Supervises nursing care, instructs nursing procedures, and interprets policy and application of policy to team members. Ensures effective staffing levels and resources for quality patient care. In addition this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served within Agency. May perform in RN role by assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. The Clinical Manager may work in a variety of settings and roles within the Riverside Home Care Division. The Clinical Manager utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to oversee patient care throughout the Agency based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of specific patient populations served by the Agency.
