Associate Merchant (Grandinroad)

Merchandising is the central function setting the course for our brand''s product assortment, the hub of the wheel that ensures all teams are moving in the right direction to drive the business by delivering a unique proprietary, curated, compelling, and profitable assortment that puts the customer first.As an Associate Merchant with Grandinroad, you will be responsible for supporting both the creation and execution of the creative product development and driving the growth business strategies and assortment plans for specific categories with oversight from your Merchant. You will support in the delivery of sales and profit goals by analyzing performance and sharing result driving insights, while managing daily business operations.* Support the Merchant in driving the assortment strategy by influencing decisions at every stage of the product lifecycle. Along with development and execution of business strategy of the department and subcategories, based upon a detailed knowledge of the brand, intimate understanding of the customer, and studied analysis of the competition and overall marketplace.* Develops an understanding of the connection between financial strategies and related merchandise objectives for their areas.* Works cross-functionally to align on key collection/key items strategy, executes both preseason and in season strategy in collaboration with Planning and Sourcing.* Responsible for select category/products under guidance of Merchant. Develop a unique, proprietary, and focused product assortment that delivers on quality within the brand ethos, excites/inspires and delivers on customer needs while delivering the financial goals for a sub-category or product category. Partners with Design throughout the product development process and may develop product directly with vendor partners. Drives the financial results through partnering with Planning, E-Comm merchants and with support of the Merchant.* Partners with entire Merchant team to coordinate products for style out and asset creation to deliver inspiring whole home looks and drive category products.* Analyzes data weekly and shares results/insights, and recommends actions, and oversees those actions by managing follow up. Support in meeting preparation, sample management, report evaluation and analysis and share their POV and recommendations based on current results against category strategy to mitigate risk and maximize opportunity.* Manages assigned business day to day activities, including to responding to current business trends and financial architecture pre-season and in-season.* Key Communicator of accurate and up-to-date information regarding product information in a timely manner, including key details of product to Copy. Supports the Merchant in all cross-functional and vendor communication. Supports the creation of internal presentations to executives and cross-functional teams, from concept brainstorming to drafting documents, as well as preparing and presenting meeting materials.QualificationEducation: Bachelor''s Degree in Merchandising or related field or Associate''s Degree and equivalent experience.Experience: 1-3 years merchandising experience with demonstrable success.LI-AW
