Description Description Ready to build solutions that powers automated decisions across the entire Amazon ecosystem?The Clickstream team builds and supports big data systems to produce datasets describing Amazon customer behavior across Amazon''s multifaceted customer interfaces - the website, applications, and physical locations. We collect, transform and assemble exabytes of customer interaction logs from webservers, services, browsers, and devices to create a coherent view of customers'' experience using Amazon across web, mobile, connected screens and beyond. Several hundred teams at Amazon make use of the data we provide to make critical business decisions in inventory planning, on site content optimization, off site advertising and countless other areas.The size and complexity of our data continues to increase over time as more and more customers shop online across different types of devices and Amazon creates more experiences for our customers.On the Clickstream team you''ll help define and deliver our nextgen architecture to produce high quality customer behavioral datasets and metrics suite. You will work as part of a cross functional team of product managers, software developers & business intelligence engineers to produce high quality data that truthfully represents the online behavior of Amazon''s customers.If you are looking for fun loving team, motivated by solving complex data problems with high impact and scale, come join us.Basic Qualifications • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design • 4+ years of professional software development experience • 2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications • Experience working with large (billions of records) datasets in distributed computing environments • Experience with statistical techniques for anomaly detection, metric definitions etc. • Strong communication skills demonstrating ability to deliver projects spanning 10s of teams, and impacting hundreds of stakeholders.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
