Security Officers at Blue Cross of Idaho are responsible for the safety and security of the company''s employees, clients, visitors, and property.This is an onsite position at our Meridian Idaho campus.Required Experience: 1 year security experience, preferably at larger corporate facility(s)Required Licenses/Certifications: CPR CertificationFirst Aide Certification or must obtain within 3 months of hireThreat Abatement Certification or must obtain within 1 year of hireSchedule: the schedule for the security officer will likely be either:A. 12am - 8am, Saturday-Wednesday -or-B. 12am - 8am, Monday - FridayYour day may look like:Oversees and conducts security activities, including controlling entry and exit to the company''s premises and safeguarding facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.Periodically tours premises; examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Monitors traffic in buildings and on grounds via visibility, electronic surveillance, vehicle, and foot patrols.Responds to general calls for service, such as accessing locked buildings, assisting staff and visitors, and providing vestigates any potential criminal activities and notifies local authorities.Assists emergency services and public safety agencies during any incidents on the property.Coordinates and provides services for walking path and parking lot maintenance, as needed.Follows-up and enforces policies and procedures and investigates designated activities, incidents, and produces written reports.May provide back-up for the front desk staff.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Reasonable accommodationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
