Description Description The Product Classification & Inference team is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Technical Product Managers for the Amazon Catalog organization. You will be primarily responsible for defining and delivering the technical components of the Product Classification, Inference, Fact Extraction and Completeness overall architecture. The space requires cross-functional engagements and coordinating activity across numerous tech teams. Your efforts will drive the overall strategy and you will also own the execution including: the technology roadmap and directly lead the development, implementation, and delivery. As the Sr Mgr TPM, you will lead an existing team of TPMs to execute the overall implementation strategy. You will hire and develop the best and be responsible for career growth of your team. You will support your team in driving the business and system-level reviews, aligning with engineering teams, making architectural decisions, and driving adoption of the critical mechanisms necessary to ensure the program''s success.The right candidate will possess the ability to effectively drive, influence and negotiate with data. He/she will have demonstrated experience leading large projects with cross-functional teams having shared goals not necessarily direct authority. Experience with ML, Deep Learning Systems is highly desired but not mandatory since the role works closely with Applied Science Managers and the team has TPMs with strong background in ML/Science. You and your team will have end to end ownership - all the way from defining the strategy to measuring metrics to monitoring day to day progress of these programs or Products. You should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and shouldn''t be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. As a Team Leader you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. About the teamThe team''s mission is to infer knowledge, understand, classify, derive product facts for all Amazon products entering the Catalog. The work is critical to power the Amazon Taxonomy, Search, Navigation and Detail Page experiences, impacting million of customers. This is an already formed team with experience leading programs spanning services and ML initiatives supporting all countries and languages.
