Job SummaryUK''s Esports Internship Program is designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to gain substantive, first-hand business insight into the Esports industry. Interns will gain hands-on exposure in a number of areas surrounding the Esports industry, including but not limited to:* Esports Programming (tournaments, leagues, socials)* Marketing, Brand management, and Outreach* Cultivating sponsorship/partnership relations* Community building and engagement (online and in-person)* Event Production (casting, streaming, stage setup, promotion)Interns will participate in both individual and team-based projects designed to build experience and growth opportunities for themselves as well as develop programming that benefits the campus and regional community. Our internships are created with the intent that individuals walk away with meaningful learning experiences that enhance both their personal and professional development goals. UK''s Esports Internship Program seeks to build a talent pool of leaders in the Esports industry through participation in a wide variety of vocations. This position will:* Assist in the creation and administration of online & in-person leagues and tournaments* Work with the Esports program leadership to create a calendar of events for the Esports Lounge and Theater.* Use social media accounts for engagement, promotion of events* Collaborate with partners for promotion, events, and prizing* Coordinate and consolidate player, event attendees, sponsor feedback for program development* Gain expertise with streaming, casting, production equipment* Generate innovative ideas to build a healthy esports ecosystem and player community in the region.* Identify, track, global esports trends for implementation at a regional level* Strengthen and reinforce UK Esports as the foremost Esports program in the countryThe University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority.
