Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You''ll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.The Systems Mission Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing modelling, simulation and operational analysis of multi-domain systems to support mission execution concepts and derive system performance requirements. You will build tools and perform analyses of various architectures that include space vehicles, satellites, sensors, communications, and ground infrastructure; evolving or creating new approaches based on analysis results. You will also evaluate the mission effectiveness of the candidate approaches, balancing mission objectives against factors such as development and lifecycle costs.The successful candidate will be required to help define and execute mission analysis studies using industry standard modelling and simulation tools and also develop novel modeling simulation tools when necessary. The Mission Systems Analyst Engineer will employ strong technical, analytical and creative skills to visualize, evaluate, disseminate and iterate on mission analysis results to support overall system development.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Learn more about IASMust-haves:Bachelor''s of Science degree in engineering, physics, math or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.Desire to support development of new and existing system simulation frameworks, performance models, and algorithms, to identify, integrate, and accurately represent specific mission systems technologies that enable evaluation of advanced concepts and architectures, and convey results of those studies through effective metrics and visualizations.Experience performing mission analysis and modeling / simulation, including analysis, documentation and presentation of results.Experience evaluating sensor or weapon performance across multiple domains.Familiarity with common industry system modeling tools and languages, such as Matlab, STK, FreeFlyer AFSIM, Python, and C++.Ability to derive requirements and design drivers from mission analysis and simulation results.Ability to research, adapt and/or develop mission analysis tools to solve novel problems.Willingness to work on a small team performing complex engineering design evaluations for a diverse mission where everyone''s input matters.Desire for new challenges, to be on the ground floor of an exciting capability for our nation, and to be part of the initial cadre developing a new multi-domain system.Experience working on multi-disciplinary design and development teams.An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required. Experience working in an Agile team/framework.Experience integrating COTS packages (STK, FreeFlyer, AFSIM) with custom models or extensions (MATLAB, Python, C++, etc)Experience with AFSIM is highly desired.
