Job Description

Position Summary The General Aviation SME is part of the Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Applications (MSEA) product suite supporting modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed. The Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis and research and development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to : * You will assist a software development team in developing an advanced synthetic training environment to support military pilot training * You will apply tactical knowledge to support scenario development for customer training objectives, and test events * Conduct general subject matter research, analysis, correlation, and assessments * Assist in the NGTS introduction to fleet activities * Perform as the liaison between military personnel and NGTS Programmers * Participate in software test activities * Act as technical liaison to outside organizations Requirements Minimum Requirements Knowledge and Skills The required skills and knowledge include: * Must have a military tactical background in one or more of the following areas/platforms: EP3, F-16, F-35, F22, F-16. F-15, F18 C/D or E/F, EA-6B, EA-18G, P-8, Electronic Warfare (EW) The minimum years of related experience required: * 8 years exp with military platforms and systems. 4 years exp with integrated simulation Education The minimum level of education required is: * BS/BA degree in Electronics, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Mathematician Desired Requirements The desired skills, knowledge, and education include: * Qualification as a USAF/USN Weapons Instructor Course, tactics instructors, test pilots, and aviators/operators with specialized qualifications and backgrounds * Prior experience supporting Model and Simulation efforts * Prior experience performing software testing * Prior flight simulator operations experience Other Qualifications Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include: * Secret Clearance * Must be US Citizen Special Note: The position is contingent upon candidate''s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
