Are your ready for your next challenge?The Defense Group at Leidos has a career opening for a Flight Test Manager to work in our Beavercreek, OH office supporting Wright Patterson Air Force Base customers. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to use your experience to advance the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) Rapid Technology Development and Demonstrations program and various Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) projects. In this role, you''ll be defining requirements, aircraft modification, design, integration planning, system integration, airworthiness approvals, and all aspects flight test execution.What''s in it for you?In this role, you will spend time on the flight line, in aircrafts, and directly interact with payload systems. You will also be at the forefront of innovation, helping to transition technology from a lab to a real world environment.If this sounds like the kind of environment where you can thrive, keep reading!THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)- Develop test project technical requirements into executable flight test plans- Develop detailed flight test procedures based on the test plans, test requirements, final product design, and the specific test assets to be used- Lead Flight Test Planning Meetings, Technical Review Boards and Safety Review Boards- The Lead for process development of test profiles, flight cards, test matrices, mission flows, and execution- Lead for developing flight products and authoring post flight test "Flight Test Reports"- Coordinate and schedule test activities with national test and training centers ranges based on flight test objectives- Coordinate with Contracted Aircraft providers and Government stakeholders to complete flight test activities- Resolve concerns with functional leads, including engineering, instrumentation, supply chain, maintenance/quality, flight operations, and suppliers- Communicate test results to management, customer test representatives, and the rest of the engineering team.- Verify that the configurations of systems under test, test assets, test procedures, and reduction/analysis tools are documented and capturedWHAT SETS YOU APART (job qualifications)-Requires a Bachelor''s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience or a Master''s Degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience.-Experience with DoD or civilian programs/projects involved with airborne systems, integration, and flight test-Flight Test experience including planning, execution, and reporting-Experience with DoD flight line operations, logistics, and security practices-Experience with Air Force flight test planning and execution-Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion, and translate highly technical discussions into executable plans-Able to cope with rapid change, as multiple objectives/projects are running concurrently-Ability to work both independently and within a dynamic cross-functional team environment-Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking/reasoning skills-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word,)-Ability to liaise with, speak and present effectively to personnel at all levels of the organizationTravelUp to 15% CONUS travel requiredSecurity Clearance Requirement-An active DoD Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCIPreferred, not required-Unique or non-standard flight test experiencePay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
