This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus! HOURS 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday (every other Saturday) LOCATION Northgate Plaza The Polyclinic, part of Optum, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team to work in a lab setting in Seattle, WA. The Phlebotomist functions as an integral member of the team and is responsible for performing phlebotomy and other lab tests in a manner that maintains high quality patient care. The Phlebotomist is responsible for and not limited to: Obtain blood specimens by skin puncture, venipuncture Follow all laboratory procedures and protocols. Perform point of care testing. Accurately enter patient information and tests into the computer and accurately label specimens after the patient is drawn but before patient leaves. Deliver specimens to analytical area. Work as a team member within the laboratory department, and with all other Polyclinic departments. Perform other related duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Credentials Education: Completion of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy course required. Experience: Recent phlebotomy experience (1 year preferred). Certification/Licensure: Current Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist credential in Washington State. Skills: Ability to obtain blood specimens by venipuncture. Basic computer skills. Strong customer service skills. Other Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Good oral and written command of the English language. May require light lifting of approximately 20 pounds. Ability to walk around between draw stations and the central third floor lab. Must be able to develop good relationships with supervisors and peers. Regular attendance and punctuality is required. Be at your work station at the assigned starting time and leave your work station at your assigned ending time. Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role.
