Welcome to expatriate life in southern Italy! This position is an F-35 Pilot SME located at Amendola AB, Italy. Operates F-35 Pilot Training Devices as primary duty. Additional duties: Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material. Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Monitors and provides feedback to F-35 Pilots during & after FMS / Simulator mission. This position is typically represented by an experienced pilot. Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a long-term deployment to a foreign country. Training System Pilot SME (Flight Instructor Stf) for the F-35 supporting the Italy MoD at Amendola AB, Italy.Basic Qualifications:-- Candidate must have a current final secret security clearance with a reinvestigation within the last six years.- Willingness to travel to support mission requirements.- Candidate should have a minimum of 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft. Former Instructor Pilot (IP).- Candidate should have prior experience in Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training.- Candidate should have operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as NVS, LANTIRN, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest weapons inventory.- Candidate must be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods. Must have in-depth knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems.- Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.- Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required. Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access ClearanceDesired Skills:Previous F-35 SME experience is desired- Experience interfacing with customer at military locations- Experience interfacing with NATO customers- International Expat experience- Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum- Familiarity with F-35 program requirements- F-35 system knowledge- F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience- Familiarity with the F-35 ALIS program- Currently possess F-35 Program special accessBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
