Linux Developer

Overviewi3 is currently looking to hire a Linux Developer to join our Mounted Computing Environment-Mouted Mission Command (MCE/MMC) team supporting the US Army located in Huntsville, ALMCE will provide integrated, on-the-move, mission command information and situational awareness to maneuver platforms throughout the unit''s area of operations. Brigade and battalion-level units will employ MCE to gain near real-time situational awareness and mission command capability to assist in the accomplishment of their combat missions.Responsibilities* Analyze, design, and implement SELinux policies for Linux and Android operating systems.* Provide SELinux support to development teams.* Analyze, design and implement SELinux policies for new capabilities.* You will be trained on Linux OS security topics including: access control, least privilege, separation of duties, and security goals.* You will gain deep knowledge of Linux OS security processes, issues, and challenges* Identify security vulnerabilities in the system components or network devices and implement solutions to real security problems* Use collaborative software development tools and workflows, including version control* Software development in C, C++, Java and Scripting languages like PythonQualificationsRequired Skills:* Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.* Familiarity with the Linux operating system, system services, and can navigate command line* Familiarity with the Android operating systems, services, and command line debugger ''ADB''* Knowledge of Containers and container managers such as Docker or LXC* Experience coding in C, C++, Java, and Scripting languages like Python* Experience in building operating systems, Linux and Android system knowledge is a plus* Have an Interest in developing security solutions using Linux and Android* Experience writing SELinux policy is a plus* Willingness to learn SELinux Policy development* Enjoys solving difficult technical problems, works well in a team environment, and can work multiple tasks at a time* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Required Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance; US citizenship requiredAbout i3Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, i3 is a national leader in providing innovative technical and engineering solutions to a broad customer base across the U.S. DoD.
