The Contracts Management Sr. Staff negotiates, administers, extends, terminates, and renegotiates standard and nonstandard Government and International contracts. This role will offer you the following daily challenges: Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations/capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company. Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either King of Prussia, PA OR Herndon, VA , and be expected to work in the office.Basic Qualifications:To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience; or 13 years of professional experience with a related Masters''s degree.• 5+ years of professional working with experience with U.S. Government procurement regulations (i.e., FAR and DFARS) and agency-specific procurement regulations, as well as knowledge of and comfort working with a wide range of contract types, such as CPFF, CPIF, FPIF, FFP, and IDIQ.• 5+ years of professional working with all phases of contracts management, including proposals, negotiation, execution, and closeout, as well as reviewing terms and conditions and performing contract risk analysis• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET (SCI eligibility) clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Desired Skills:To be successful, ideally, you should also have: • Experience in Federal Government and International contract administration/management and negotiations, program management, or a related field.• Exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.• Experience in establishing strong relationships with internal and external customers.• Active current SCI clearance.
