In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: ''Improving Health, Improving Lives'' as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic.Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related life scienceMinimum of 6 years'' clinical laboratory experiencePrevious supervisor experience is preferredASCP and/or AMT Certifications are not required but a plusStrong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulationsFamiliarity with Chemistry platforms and equipmentUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortable making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionThe working schedule for this position will be: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.Job Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise the day to day operations of the Immunology DepartmentEnsure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely mannerDirectly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverageResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsEnsure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality ControlPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documentsEvaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendationsMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentEnsure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulationsResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresProcess and maintain payroll and personnel filesPerform administrative duties as neededLabcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:As an EOE/AA employer, the organization will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant''s race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status.For more information about how we collect and store your personal data, please see our Privacy Statement.
