The team supports multiple lines of business at Lockheed Martin which means you could be designing packaging systems for the next mission to Mars or the next generation of GPS satellites. You will provide local leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of approximately 10 engineers responsible for mechanical engineering research, design, development, and production support for the Denver/ Remote site. As a leader in this organization you will be responsible to provide the functional directorate, program management, and their customers'' effective project management, accurate and detailed plans and schedules and efficient production support. You will also be capable of furthering the department''s development, growth, and expertise. The successful candidate will be a best-in-class leader in the design of Flight Cable & Harness Design, having lead Program Design Teams and been sought after as a Subject Matter Expert. The candidate will have extensive experience in Root Cause Analysis, having proven successes in leading investigation teams and implementing Corrective Actions. You must have demonstrated capability to work with other SSC sites, cross functional teams, and outside suppliers in a formative environment, as evidenced by excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to organize, motivate, and lead large groups of diverse personnel that includes customers, partners, and suppliers that are geographically dispersed. It is desired that the candidate personally enjoys helping subordinates, colleagues, and associates by providing mentoring, career counseling, and technical help. Basic Qualifications:- Experience with all aspects of mechanical design, including layout and design documentation- Experience with aerospace vehicle flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture, or test and integration- Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.- Fundamental understanding of aerospace vehicle structures, mechanisms, thermal products, materials and processes- Proficient with CAD modeling, drafting and release in Creo/EPDM (CREO) or equivalent- Zuken E-3 user experience and tool usage leadership experience- Problem investigation resolution and root cause analysis experience- Corrective Action Board actionee and presentation experience leading to suggested Command Media updates- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product development team environment- Demonstrated ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program- Demonstrated leadership experience - minimally as acting manager, technical lead, or project manager- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; US citizenship is requiredDesired Skills:- Extensive flight harness design experience- Prior experience leading a multi-disciplined team - Harness vendor interface, selection, and certification to LM processes experience- Have experience participating in the qualification of at least two suppliers.- Demonstrated leadership skills and exceptional team building experience. - Multi-program and LOB experience- Command Media authorship or IPT experience- Experience creating cost and schedule projections or basis of estimates (BOE)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
