Kratos has an initiative to design and deploy new capabilities, producing new value for existing and new customers, by leveraging our existing and evolving global infrastructure and Kratos products.As a Monitor and Control Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to design, integrate, test, and deploy innovated end to end MNC Solution. You will work closely with colleagues throughout KGSN inter-disciplinary team, and collaborate with Operations and Product SME''s, in-order to ensure our system is Service Focused and proactively monitored and controlled. As the M&C SME, you will be responsible for pushing the limits of our current Kratos Products, focusing on fit for purpose development around Service Monitoring and Control.Job Duties and Responsibilities include:* Analyze Customer or Engineering Service requirements and prepare effective M&C solution* Design, develop, and implement Service Chain focused UI keeping with ''3 Clicks'' to get to Root Failure* Design, develop, and implement Service focused Status Screens and Dashboards* Expose, ingest Events/Alarms and design/implement correlation Alarming to enable Service Event Management* Perform MNC platform stability and performance testing* Build Automated and semiautomated control functions to reduce operational workload* Work close collaboration with Service/Solution owner and Operations for fit for purpose design* Gather information from a wide variety of sources across all platforms to analyze for correlations* Document incidents, workaround, root cause analysis, and corrective actions* Perform system checkouts and testing of system upgrades and patches in the operational environments* Coordinate with operations on system outages and make decision on system failover* Collaborate with other systems administrators, storage admin, application developers, and network engineers to solve complete problems* Deep dive on technical details and lead problem resolution when needed* Communicate project status in a way that drives and elevates decision making* Provide tier 3&4 level support to all incident''s escalations and problems* Document and run test procedures, create user, installation, and administration documentation* Diagnose and resolve Operations escalation Incidents and ProblemsExperience/Background* • 3 + years'' experience with UI/UX design and Implementation and data aggregation* 3 + years'' experience programming/scripting in PS, Java, Python, PHP, Angular/JS, HTML/CSS* 3+ years'' experience in Linux or UNIX* 3+ years'' experience in MS Windows Environments* Experience with SQL technologies* Experience in utilizing various software api technologies such as REST, RPC, SOAP, JSON/XML, ect* Strong understanding of industry standard status and control protocols: SNMP v2/3, WMI, ect* Basic understanding of networking, addressing, routing and associated hardware* Experience working with or within ITIL, DevOps, and Network Operation* Strong communication and listening skills* Strong technical aptitude, independent research skills and attention to detail* Self-starter and ability to lead development, integration and test activities* Positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment* US Citizenship is required* Secret clearance requiredPreferred* Hands-on experience with Kratos Compass, Neuralstar, and other Kratos products will be an added advantage* Hands-on experience with industry standard Monitor & Control platforms configuration and implementation* Experience working in a Network Operation Center Environment* Experience with virtual, distributed, and cloud computing will be advantage* BS in Computer Science related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience* Understanding of Satellite Network Management System architectures.* Understanding of Satellite Communication Technologies in an Operations environment* Understanding of Cloud Technologies, such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform* Understanding of development and management of Service orientated solutions is a petitive salary based on experience and education$100,000 - $120,000Kratos is a leader in assured aerospace communication solutions and services.
