World Wide Public Sector team is looking for an exceptional Strategic Account Executive candidate to join our fast growing National Security Sales Team to support sensitive and critical US Intelligence Community (USIC) cloud technologies and activities. In the role of Strategic Account Executive, you will focus on major opportunities across multiple intelligence agencies services and collaborate with each account team. You will lead strategic business development activities and engage with customers and prime contractors to influence and accelerate cloud adoption. The role requires a professional experienced in sales, opportunity management, business development, and capture activities for large government programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise operating in a highly matrixed environment, the ability to translate customer requirements into cloud technology, and past performance growing national security programs. Candidates should have an understanding of the respective community infrastructures, policies, and operational performance requirements. This position is based in the DC metro area. Core Responsibilities:• Meet regularly with Amazon business leaders (such as customer account teams, hardware and software engineering leaders, and technical program managers).• Meet regularly with national security executives and mission owners to understand the current and future state of large mission programs along with future acquisition plans.• Develop strategies and recommendations to achieve success over one-, three-, and five-year periods.• Solicit performance feedback, identify and eliminate blockers, and coordinate AWS resources needed to move initiatives forward.• Meet regularly with account executives to provide status, plan, and manage opportunities from prospect to launch.• Identify and establish teaming with key Industry Partners to maximize AWS inclusion in winning opportunity pursuits.• Identify opportunities for Public Policy engagements.• Leverage Defense and Professional Associations to establish AWS as a thought and industry leader resulting in increasing customer intimacy, nurture existing partners, develop new partners, and discover opportunities. A person is considered fully vaccinated by completing the full regimen of the COVID-19 vaccine (two doses for Pfizer or Moderna and one dose for Johnson & Johnson) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 10 or more years managing and/or pursuing information technology programs under the National Industrial Security Program, and/or with the US Intelligence Community.* 10 or more years performing work in an individual contributor role responsible for personally developing capture plans, competitive business intelligence reports, project schedules, price-to-win models, and pursue/no-pursue recommendations.-10 or more years experience pursuing services opportunities in compliance with U.S. federal acquisition rules. * 10 or more years experience leading as the primary speaker customer facing and company internal meetings and presentations.* Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph* Bachelor''s degree and/or Computer Science background PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Demonstrable history of successfully growing (by $1M or more) existing Government programs.* Demonstrable knowledge of intelligence community procurement and contracting processes.* Demonstrable record of being detail-oriented with past examples showing ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.* Demonstrable Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.* Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.* Demonstrable ability to present technical and programmatic briefings to senior Government officials.* 10 or more years of team leadership experience in the Federal Government or a technology company working with the Federal Government - including hiring and developing a team.* Experience working within the software development and cloud computing industry is highly desired.* Bachelor''s degree and/or Computer Science or Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.* Meets/exceeds Amazon''s leadership principles requirements for this role* Meets/exceeds Amazon''s functional/technical depth and complexity Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
