Cyber Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Principal Cyber Software Engineer who will be focused primarily on working as closely to the data and end users as possible. The position will support a high visibility effort modernizing and prototyping next-generation applications, frameworks, and tools that complement and support both analysts and operations. These operationally aligned teams perform Research-style work, rapidly integrating into mission, while modernizing the larger system and system-of-systems, introducing automation everywhere possible within the overall operations, tasking, and collection systems/platforms. What you will do The selected candidate should have experience with Agile software methodology and software engineering design best practices, will work within a cross-functional Scrum team, and will be responsible for developing software, participating in acceptance criteria development, documenting instructions, and participating in integration activities. Job Duties: * Performs software engineering and development activities * Develops and integrates bug fixes and new feature enhancements using DIA standard development tools and processes (e.g., Java, Jira, Git, Junit). * Identifies and integrates DIA and IC shared services (e.g., IC PKI and IAA) * Supports trade studies/analyses of alternatives and assessments of potential technologies that may be applicable to the system, and provides recommendations What you need to have * Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI * A Bachelor''s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master''s degree with 3 years of relevant experience (an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement) * 2+ years experience using Java, Git, Docker, and JUnit What we''d like you to have * Experience with Apache NiFi * Experience with Postgres * Experience with cross domain systems * TS/SCI with CI poly About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai delivers AI-powered analytics and cyber engineering solutions to support mission-critical operations and decision-making in complex, real-world environments.
