Sr Technical Architect with Security Clearance

GridIron IT is seeking a Senior Technical Architect local to Arlington, VA to support a Federal Program. Candidates must hold a Green Card or US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities: * Lead a team of junior to mid level developers and will work with architects, UI/UX designers, and lab SMEs.* Full stack development, from DevOps, Database Administration, Non-Relational Data Stores, Java Service development and minimalist UI development. API and SDK development experience required.* Solution architecture and delivery.* Lead a team of developers and clients will be a mix of clinicians, computer scientists, data architects, and life science SMEs.* May wear multiple hats: architecture design and development, code reviews, mainframe deployment and customization, responsible for the system quality of the solution being delivered to the business.* This individual is responsible for hitting the Quality-of-Service business and IT requirements while at the same time representing the optimum way to deploy the architecture.* May evaluate applications, define domains, trace and mitigate dependencies, and create possible solution architectures for teams to use to move to cloud environments.* Will lead and complete Analysis of Alternatives, create the design of interactions and integrations, demo integrations and solutions to the customer, and give general advice for tooling selection.Education: Master of Computer Science preferred or relevant technical experience (BS in Computer Science req.) Required Skills: * 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role* Extensive experience with:* JavaScript* Application/Software Architecture* Apache Maven* Relational Database Mgmt Systems (RDBMS)* AngularJS* Groovy* Fullstack- Java with Angular* Familiarity and experience with Software Development Kits (SDK);* Understanding and experience with design patterns (e.g. Flyweight)Preferred Skills: * DevOps Tooling (Hudson, Jenkins)* Data stores knowledge (Zookeeper, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, Acumulo)* Databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL)* Development libraries (JUnit, Jasmine, Spock, Mockito testing; Spring, Hibernate, Jackson, Camel)* Development tools expertise: Maven, Gradle, Apache ANT, Ruby on Rails, Docker, JMeter, SoapUI, Git, SVN, CVS, Rational Jazz* Development Language expertise: Java, Groovy, C/C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, pl/SQL, Bash Scripting, ColdFusion 4.0/5.0, JSP, GSP, Lucene
