Job Description:Maintenance Technician (Los Angeles, California)We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Maintenance Technician for our Advanced Materials group located in Los Angeles, CA.(Glendale)As a Maintenance Technician, you will: Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, power tools, production machines, building/facility, as well as preventative maintenance and emergency response by performing the following duties:Order parts and maintain parts availability.Able to read drawings, prints and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.Able to work split shift regularly from 11 AM to 7:30 PM and is flexible for working first shift and OT as required.Work collaboratively with associates with different backgrounds and perspectives.Perform Preventive Maintenance duties on facility equipmentMake repairs, replacements, adjustments, inspections, trouble shoot, and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to 480 Volts.Working with PLC''s and HMI, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment is highly desiredOperates all types of conventional power toolsAdjusts functional parts of devices and control stalls new equipmentDrive forklift, arial boom lifts, scissors liftsRespond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner.Repairs electrical equipment, run conduitLayout jobs in compliance with NEC and completes bill of materialUses various electrical meters as required per specific jobParticipates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.Proficient in Excel spreadsheet and Word doc and trainable in other software such as Maintenance Management System.New Maintenance technician falls under a structured tier system.Skills and experiences required:Knowledge of PLC''s, electrical systems to 480 volts, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment. Good electrical and minor mechanical skills to perform the needed repairs and installationsGood understanding of the NEC with respect to Industrial Applications and knowledge of how to apply to keep the facility within code requirements.Good working knowledge of various control systems on equipment and HVAC Systems.Electrician License or equivalent experience as a journeyman electricianHigh School Diploma or GED.5+ years of experienceWhat can we offer you?Huntsman offers unsurpassed opportunities to build a successful future.
