Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a The Boeing Company is looking for an Engineering Unit Member/Project Administrator Technical Support (Consultant or Senior) based out of Everett, Washington.This position is for a technical project manager who will be responsible for providing guidance and resolution of technical issues to support engineering unit members regarding certification activities and processes related to compliance findings for CFR (code of federal regulations) Part 21 and Part 25 regulations.This position requires building and maintaining relationships with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), ODA (organization designation authorization) Administrators, Managers of Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness, Project Administrators, Engineering Unit Members, Certification staff, the Safety and Airworthiness organization and other affected stakeholders.This position also requires coordination and collaboration across all business units and provides excellent opportunities to identify and resolve complex, multi-model certification issues. Visibility across the entire value stream for impacted functional areas allows for a holistic view of the entire certification system to support the ODA roles in ensuring safe and compliant products.Position Responsibilities:Define and revise procedures and processes in order to resolve clarification or issues relating to the entire certification value streamLead cross-functional teams towards the resolution of technical issuesCoordinate with the FAA (including creating correspondence and facilitating communication to obtain ODA/FAA alignment)Develop strategic action plans and manage those plans through completionAuthor and edit relevant procedure documents such as BPM (Boeing procedure manuals) and BPIs (Boeing processes instructions), etcEnsure proper coordination across products, platforms and functional areas in order to promote adherence to requirements and commonality and consistency of application of procedures and FAA guidanceParticipate/instruct engineering unit member candidates on ODA procedures and Part 21 requirementsParticipate in the assessment of engineering unit member candidates'' readiness for appointmentEnsure guidance is in place for E-UM compliance findings to support the framework for compliance assurance. Coordinate and communicate guidance across the Enterprise. Assist in establishing metrics and key system indicators for ensuring guidance is being followedMonitor effectiveness of processes for ensuring separation of showings and findings of compliance; assist in establishing metrics and key system indicators that ensure first pass quality to the E-UMsThis position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. On-site work will be at a minimum 2 of 5 days per week.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry4+ years of experience with systems engineering3+ years of experience with the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Part 25 certification requirements3+ years of experience with ODA (Organization Designation Authorization) proceduresPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with FAA Orders 8110.4 and 8100.15 and the entire certification value streamExperience with project managementStrong communication skillsTypical Education & Experience: Consultant (Level 4) Bachelor''s degree and typically 9 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with typically 7 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (Level 5) Bachelor''s degree typically 14 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with typically 12 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
