Change your path, hone your specialty, and build your expertise - the options for career growth with?CETC?are unlimited.Key Functions:Develop a curriculum that can help build communication skillsAssess communication (speech and language) skills through screenings and evaluationComplete comprehensive assessments in the area of needConducts therapy sessions in accordance with the individual''s plan of care and evaluation results.Contributes to the development of individual plans of care using a multidisciplinary approach.Responsible for the re-evaluation of classified patients as outlined in the state rules and regulations.Participates in meetings concerning individual patients when requested.Consults with the parents, administration, and other staff personnel.Works cooperatively with community agencies and the multi-disciplinary team concerned with the speech-language health of children.Facilitates patient growth and progress toward stated objectives of speech-language therapy.Identify patients at risk for later communication plete daily documentation of services and outcomes.Manage caseloads, services, and scheduling.Perform individual therapy based on client needsCollaborate and consult with professionals, providers, families, and teachersWill be trained on providing services through teletherapy on various telemedicine platformsCompetencies:Knowledge of speech, language, fluency, voice, swallowing, and pragmatic language disordersExcellent and effective oral communication and writing skillsAbility to meet federal and state regulations for licensure and certificationStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to be flexible and creativeStrong diagnostic and therapeutic skillsRecognize the need to respond to culturally diverse communitiesUnderstand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the fieldExperience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening measuresRequired Qualifications:Master''s degree or higher in Speech-Language PathologyAble to obtain a State of Maryland clinical fellow licensure through ASHAExperience in the field of speech-language pathologyAdaptable and flexible work schedule (e.g., evenings and Saturdays, if required)Pediatric experience preferredWorking Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.Physical Demands - Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.COVID-19 considerations - We provide PPE supplies and follow CDC protocols.The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
