Senior Systems Engineer (DC) with Security Clearance

Overview ***This position is contingent upon contract award*** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Data Center Engineer to support our U.S. government customer. This contract provides technical support and solutions to satisfy our customer''s enterprise IT objectives. The Senior Systems Data Center Engineer is responsible for requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation support for new service development requests and or non-standard projects requiring a diverse multi-functional technical expertise. Responsibilities * Utilize systematic and methodical engineering processes to develop multi-functional architectural designs for new and existing enterprise services. * Design plans as well as lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of data center functions. * Assess emerging technology, develop business case, and then implement new technology solution. * Participate in the investigation and resolution of complex issues escalated for problem management. * Server as the primary technical architect for multiple IT projects. * Develop and recommended procedures and standards for Customer IT infrastructure improvement. * Assist the Customer in developing strategic plans for IT resource utilization. * Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information and brief recommendations to account leadership and the Customer. Qualifications * Active in scope DoD Secret clearance. * Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferable. * Must meet DOD 8570 certification requirements such as Security+ or equivalent. * 7+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience. * Certification history that supports expertise in Data Center functions; servers, virtualization, storage, networking. Preferred Qualifications * Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills. * Must be proficient in Microsoft office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook). * Must have good organizational skills. * Must handle and manage multiple tasks. * Must be flexible with working hours. Working Conditions * Work environment is normal for an office environment.
