Language Analyst Reporter 4 with Security Clearance

Valiant is seeking Language Analyst Reporters Level 4 to work at various locations. The Language Analyst Reporter performs tasks required to draft intelligence reports from voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations. •This position is contingent upon contract award* Responsibilities: • Scanning and sorting/categorizing foreign language materials; recovering essential elements of information; gisting, translating and transcribing; and compiling and updating operational working aids and databases. • Conducting target research and analysis; monitoring classified and open sources for useful information; compiling and integrating information; analyzing collection-related information for tasking; producing and performing quality control of reports using appropriate formats for dissemination. • Oral interpretation (from the required language into English and vice versa); text translation (from the required language into English and vice versa); audio translation (from the required language into English); audio transcription in the required language; document exploitation that involves gisting/translation (from the required language into English); mentoring language analysts in language processing; and teaching the required language. • Experience requirements signify full-time experience. Part-time work is to be calculated to equate to full-time for labor category qualification purposes. For example, "two (2) years experience in customer service" means two (2) years working on a full-time basis (on average forty (40) hours per week) with customer service as the primary duty in that work. Because many language professionals work part-time or hold multiple jobs at the same time, experience should be calculated into full-time equivalents, so four (4) years working on average twenty (20) hours per week is the equivalent of two (2) years full-time work experience. Time spent in training or primarily working as a manager shall not be included when calculating experience. • Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent. • Performance at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation and/or [text] translation from the required language(s) into idiomatic, standard American English, as specified in the TTO. Scores from a NSA Civilian Language Test of Record, valid at time of resume submission, may be used as acceptable validation for text translation and audio translation skill level(s). • Skill level shall be documented within two (2) years prior to resume submission. • Equivalent of seventeen (17) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience. • In lieu of the Bachelor''s Degree an additional four (4) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted. • At least twelve (12) of the seventeen (17) years experience shall be in performing Cryptologic Operations language processing and intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials; no more than five (5) years shall be in a combination of related language experience and related cryptologic experience. • At least eight (8) of the seventeen (17) years experience shall be in the required language(s); of this, at least six (6) years shall be in cryptologic language processing (no more than two (2) years shall be in related language experience). • At least five (5) of the eight (8) years experience in the required language(s) shall be in translating and/or transcribing, and gisting. • At least one (1) of the eight (8) years experience in the required language(s) shall be in performing quality control review of ILR level 3 audio translations and/or text translations, as specified in the TTO. • Reporting shall be the primary duty for at least seven (7) of the seventeen (17) years experience. • One (1) of the eight (8) years experience in the required language(s) shall be within six (6) years of resume submission for work on the Contract. • One (1) of the seven (7) years experience in reporting shall be within five (5) years of resume submission for work on the Contract. • One (1) year experience typing on an English keyboard. • Proficiency in one of the following languages: Arabic, Amharic, Azerbaijani, Cebuano, Chavacano, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Czech, French, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Hausa, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Kurdish, Norwegian, Pashto, Persian Farsi, Persian Dari, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Somali, Swahili, Tagalog, Tausug, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, or Yoruba.
