Find your future with us.The Boeing Company seeks an Organization Designation Authorization Unit Member Administration Manager to join the Product & Services Safety - Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team located in Everett, Washington.This role will lead and inspire a group of employees performing technical and regulatory tasks within the engineering unit member (E-UM) and Project Administrator (PA) Administration groups in the Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team. This role involves some level of mentoring, developing and motivating direct reports.Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable providing both technical and project management guidance, leading efforts to address regulatory concerns, as well as leading process improvement activities.The position involves direct coordination and collaboration with the FAA, as well as leadership across the business units. The ability to develop and maintain positive and healthy relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports is a key attribute to being successful in these roles.Position Responsibilities:Manages employees performing technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering for unit member administration processes and authorityDevelops and executes project and process plans, ensures alignment with regulatory policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with the FAA, Certification Leaders, the Safety and Airworthiness organization, RA&A leadership, the unit member community and other stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of approaches, products and processes regarding unit member management and authority requirementsManages, develops and motivates employeesCoordinates and integrates Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) unit member processes across the BCA, BDS, and BGS business units for consistency and to ensure FAA requirements and expectations are metEnsures processes, guidance, training and administration to support the unit member role within the enterprise ODA are aligned to FAA regulationsThis position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work mainly onsite at one of the listed location options. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor''s degree or higher in an engineering or science related field5 years of experience in Aerospace EngineeringEngineering leadership experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in technical management and oversight of projects and resourcesExperience developing and executing project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals for the team.Experience with aircraft certification procedures and compliance to regulatory requirements.Experience with and knowledge of regulatory requirements (14 CFR part 21, 14 CFR part 25), especially in regards to ODA unit member qualifications, responsibilities and appointment requirementsRelocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift: This position is for 1st shift.Equal Opportunity Employer:Boeing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
