The System Administrator/O365 will be responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining servers and workstations in a client/server environment. In this role, the Administrator will provide Tier I and II level support and be responsible for maintaining and operating IT Support Systems in a military environment. The individual will also work in a proactive manner and performs the duties necessary to mitigate the disruption of services, responding to outages and resolve problems quickly. LI-DNI Responsibilities: * Maintains and manages the IT server and systems infrastructure * Manages and troubleshoots Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Domain Name System (DNS) * Manages Microsoft operating systems Windows Servers, both legacy and current * Manages and troubleshoots messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange, both legacy and current * Writes scripts in PowerShell, LUA, etc. * Manages system backups and administer virtual environments * Performs systems performance diagnoses and scalability assessment activities * Applies industry best practices in compliance with security and DISA guidelines * Develops and maintains network documentation, such as topology diagrams, circuit/equipment inventories and configuration reports * Supports IT Service Management (ITSM) suites and support: * Asset Management, Configuration management, and Change Management * Provide support to knowledge management, visualization, process mapping, the Joint Operational Planning Process, development, and implementation IT Systems in a government/military environment. * Installs and upgrades computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes * Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues * Performs and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures * Serves as escalation point of contact for desktop and service desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions * Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance * Maintains open and constant communication with contractors, customers, managers, and others as needed * Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office Required Qualifications/Education and Experience * High School diploma or GED equivalent * 3-5 years of Systems Administrator, database, or network administration experience * MCSE or IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields * Security+ Certification is required * Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent * Prior hands-on experience migrating to O365 and/or implementing a hybrid solution * Administration and configuration skills for both Exchange 2016 and Office 365 Exchange Online in a hybrid environment * Administration and configuration skills in Azure design, development, networking and integration * Prior hands-on experience with O365 applications (Exchange Online, Skype for Business Online, OneDrive, etc) * Functional knowledge of backup solutions as they relate to Exchange servers (Avamar proficiency highly desired) * Azure AD Connect/AD FS experience in an enterprise environment * Knowledge of Active Directory, schema modifications, domain creation and management * Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities * Ability to work in a team environment; strong interpersonal skills and adaptability are a must * Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols * Experience with scripting and automation tools * Must have prior knowledge and understanding of DOD security regulations, DISA STIGs, and relevant DoD experience * A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy, plans, and SOPs * Strong knowledge of implementing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols * Must have and maintain a Public Trust or Security Clearance Equal Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status
