Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to: For tires (functions performed per TIA guidelines): o Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs o Reset TPMS when needed o Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, for every tire that comes through, and recommend corrective action For vehicles: o Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor o Perform basic maintenance and repair, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs Equipment: o Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks o Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to rim clamp machine, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks, and parts washer General: o Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks o Perform general housekeeping duties o Help to load/unload delivery trucks o Each morning, set up tire racks, signs and other displays; store them neatly at the end of the day o Perform other duties, from time to time, as assigned by the supervisor. Team Player - Must treat team members with respect and earn their trust by completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and positive manner Working under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Lifting: Frequent lifting over50 pounds from ground to chest high. Repetitive motion Sustained vibrations Standing for extended periods of time.
