Description: The Tenant Improvement Business Development Manager focuses on networking, marketing and developing business specifically in the Orange County, San Diego, and Inland Empire regions. Our approach to construction is more refined than most, but then again, so are our results.What we offerEmployee stock ownershipPaid health insurance Flexible schedules (restrictions apply)Tuition reimbursementPaid volunteer hours Work-life balance 401(k) matchingReferral bonuses Internal committees Professional developmentMentorshipRoutines duties & responsibilities Work with the Marketing Department and other Business Development managers to expand brand awareness.Develop key stakeholder relationships with area brokers, design firms, construction managers, landlords, potential clients, and other key partners in the interest of filling their needs for commercial construction project management.Maintain existing area relationships through consistent attention to area CM''s, design firms, brokers, past clients, and other decision makers.Maintain awareness of the area''s commercial leasing and construction activity, compile and report on such activity to develop targeted business development strategies.Develop marketing and business development strategies with senior executives and the Marketing VP to approach southern and inland SoCal clients and commercial real estate decision makers.Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations executives on client events, RFP responses, brand awareness campaigns, and similar needs.Attend southern and inland SoCal area events directed at the commercial construction and design industries to build relationships.Work with the Marketing VP and senior executives to develop southern and inland SoCal industry events and appropriate marketing budgets.Maintain client trust and brand reputation by all means necessary while working with internal Project Management teams to do the same with their individual clients.Qualifications•Bachelor''s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Minimum 6 years of business development and client relations experience in the real estate and construction industry in Orange County, San Diego and Inland Empire regions. Experience within the Southern California Tenant Improvement market, preferably in Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire.Ability to communicate effectively and easily with construction managers, landlords, commercial brokers, and related consultants regarding their real estate and construction needs.Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software and related programs.Working conditions and Physical DemandsThe Tenant Improvement Business Development Manager may routinely sit or stand for long periods of time performing normal duties and/or interacting with coworkers and clients at meetings and events.The Tenant Improvement Business Development Manager may routinely lift and/or carry moderately heavy objects such as plan sets and material submittals, and work on repetitive tasks in front of a computer screen, which may strain the eyes of certain individuals, cause chronic joint discomfort, and related issues. Care should be taken to avoid back injuries, eye strain, headaches, fatigue, carpal tunnel, and related syndromes.
