We strive to instill a workplace culture based on inclusivity, open communication, and positive support.YOUR ROLE at NWHS:We are seeking a psychiatrist interested in working within our integrated model of care. You would join our psychiatric team of four including one other psychiatrist and three psychiatric nurse practitioners. You would carry a panel of patients referred to you by your colleagues in the primary care department down the hall. Your mission would be to stabilize the patient''s psychiatric conditions and refer the patient back to primary care for ongoing maintenance. You would be supported by the team''s medical assistants, a registered nurse, and an intake coordinator. In addition, you would have the full support of the health center''s mental health department (therapists), Behavioral Health Consultants, medical records and referrals department, and the stability of working for an agency that has been serving the community for over forty years.Our ideal candidate would have interest in training to assume the responsibilities of our current Psychiatric Services Medical Director. This includes working closely with the Clinics Operations Officer to lead the department in our ongoing integration efforts, participate in Quality Management activities, and provide clinical oversight for the psychiatric clinicians, among other things.QUALIFICATIONS: Psychiatrist possessing unrestricted license for practice in the state of Oregon. Three year''s work experience and specialized training in the mental health field. Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and treatment for mental health conditions. Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions and develop appropriate management/treatment plans. Able to work effectively as a team, interfacing with patients, primary care providers, mental health staff, as well as administrative and support staff.Summary of Benefits: Our Board of Directors and Administration strives to provides a benefits program that is comprehensive, competitive within our industry, and affordable for our employees.
