1698 Specialty Engineer with Security Clearance

*United States Citizenship and an Active Secret Security Clearance is required. DESCRIPTION OF POSTION/DUTIES:The National Team supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as it develops, tests, and fields an integrated Missile Defense System (MDS). The selected engineer will possess design/development/test experience applied to Specialty Engineering disciplines with direct hardware development experience. These could include Environments (natural, hostile, and induced), RF System Design (E3 Effects, performance margin), Directed Energy (DE), Program Protection (Cybersecurity, COMSEC, INFOSEC, and Physical Security), Resilience, System Safety, Transportation, and/or Reliability/Maintainability/Availability. Applicants must also possess strong project management skills and work well in interdisciplinary teams to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. The Specialty Engineer will evaluate customer/operational needs and analyze system data to develop sound requirements which communicate design needs clearly and effectively, and properly constrain the design space to account for Specialty Engineering design concerns. Knowledge of technical standards, model-based engineering approaches, and models to characterize environmental effects are required. Occasional travel required. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: * 10-20 Years EDUCATION: * Degree and experience in an engineering classification, operations research, mathematics or physics, or other degree coupled with significant test and/or systems engineering experience: Bachelor''s, Master''s or PhD SKILLS/CERTIFCATIONS: Required Qualifications : United States Citizenship RequiredSpecialty engineering / design suitability experience applying principles and practices on large scale aerospace or defense products. Experience with industry technical/design standards. Experience in testing large scale systems. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present technical data and analysis results. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Desired Qualifications : Candidates should have a strong systems engineering and test design background, demonstrated collaboration and presentation skills and be able to perform in a fluid geographically distributed team environment. Systems engineer or Test Engineer with extensive understanding of, and/or experience with Missile Defense Systems (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats). A basic understanding of system level requirements, performance parameters, technical performance measures, key test points, sensors, missiles, interceptors, detection/tracking, or Command and Control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.) SECURITY CLEARANCE: * Active Secret with last investigation date less than 5.5 years (Top Secret preferred) Positions with All Points are Full-Time, Direct, we offer a full benefit package and competitive salaries.
