Litigation Paralegal

Butler Snow LLP, a multi-office, AMLaw 200, law firm is seeking a Paralegal to support our Tort, Transportation & Specialized Litigation team. This position is located in our B office location. The ideal candidate will have experience in mass tort practice areas and excel in a fast-paced corporate law setting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices and subpoenas. Prepare witness and matter materials for attorney review.Conduct various document searches and factual research using Westlaw. Assist with preparations for hearings, mediations and dex and maintain files that are organized chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter.Collect, organize, analyze and summarize medical anize and prepare exhibits, files and all other supporting documents for trial.Work in Relativity, Concordance or other databases.Summarize depositions and discovery responses.Perform basic jury research. Schedule and prepare for depositions as needed.CANDIDATE''S KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Superior technology skills - must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.Ability to prioritize, organize and manage work load. Takes the initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done.Works collaboratively and cooperatively with others.Requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to exercise good judgment.Demonstrates teamwork.Detail oriented.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Two or four year degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program with at least 3-5 years of experience.
